Nature
Nature is a multi-media retrospective gallery exhibit and installation chronicling three years of work in the online world of Second Life.
It opened on the Odyssey Contemporary Art and Performance Simulator in Second Life, running from December 2009 to March 2010.
Nature features work presented in many contexts including a series of still images from the online gallery exhibit Avatar Body; video, installation and images from Live Alien Home Birth; Methods for Contacting the Dead - a series of images created from exploration in SL of various methods for contacting the dead. The series was a part of the "Psychic Amateurs" Gallery Exhibit at Lucky's Gallery in Vancouver British Columbia. Curated by Jo Cook; Have a Hotdog, Have a Nice Day from the "I Am Coop" Project - a collaborative community project of the Independent Artists Cooperative (St. John's Newfoundland), the Black Bag Media Collective and Odyssey; video installation/screening of Machine I Am; and selected documentation/still images from performances with Second Front and Avatar Orchestra Metaverse.
